Lego Room

For the past two 2 weeks we have been preparing, demolishing, and installing walls in one of the kids bedrooms. We decided to make an official "Lego room" for the kids which we hope would restrict the thousands and thousands of Lego pieces that have been strewn over the house to one room.

This wall has got to go.

Ok, lets knock it out.

It was a mess to get the wall out!

We made a hole in the closet wall too.

Framing it in.

Insulating the new walls.

Dry walling.

The closet has a dresser in the wall.

The bed and shelf are in the wall.

And we did it!

We were able to gain an additional 40 square feet of floor space by knocking out the walls and placing some furniture in the knock outs. All so the kids can have a lego room.

All the legos are in the closet dresser drawers and a cabinet in the closet. And of course on the floor of the room but that's ok because that's where they play.

Way cool...I would have killed for a lego room when I was younger.

I want a LEGO room! You could have used the thousands of Legos to build those walls, then there would be no need for a Lego room and it would make a great indoor workout room? JK - that's really nice of you to go through all that work so the kids have a space in which to play. Was it really that altruistic or was it to keep all those plastic pieces out of YOUR living space? ;)

Trifrog- It's a win win situation.

I love Legos. I'm still "building" things with them now. And yeah I was thinking you were going to build the room out of Legos.
